The 3-Stage
Approach:
Stage 1
Bio-Ergonomics
Analysis
The BEAT instructor
observes individual at work station. Together they explore individual
movement patterns and evaluate the efficiency of these patterns.
Instructor explains how harmful patterns can be changed.
Stage 2
Retraining
Work Habits
With the instructor's help, using hands-on and verbal teaching, participants learn efficient ways of sitting and standing, walking,bending, using arms and hands, etc.
Stage 3
Application to Specific Workplace
Activities.
Again with the instructor's close personal assistance, participants practice improved coordination while at their jobs ? working at the computer or telephone, writing and reading at their desks; bending, lifting, carrying, working with tools; or just simply breathing and speaking.
