The 3-Stage Approach:

Stage 1

The BEAT instructor observes individual at work station.  Together they explore individual movement patterns and evaluate the efficiency of these patterns.  Instructor explains how harmful patterns can be changed.

Stage 2
Retraining Work Habits
With the instructor's help, using hands-on and verbal teaching, participants learn efficient ways of sitting and standing, walking, bending, using  arms and hands, etc.

Stage 3
Application to Specific Workplace Activities.
Again with the instructor's close personal assistance, participants practice improved coordination while at their jobs ? working at the computer or telephone, writing and reading at their desks; bending, lifting, carrying, working with tools; or just simply breathing and speaking.
